CAST SMOKING EASY?

In Russia, tobacco first appeared in 1553, under Ivan the Terrible, - only half a century after the Spanish conquistadors adopted the habit of Native Americans
to smoking. But all the kings of the pre-Petrine era did not encourage smoking. Alexei Mikhailovich, for example, in 1649 issued a decree, according to which for repeated inculcation in smoking "tobacco potato" was supposed "for such people to spill their nostrils and noses to cut. And after torture and punishment, exile to distant cities, so that, on the other hand, it was not possible to do otherwise. "
Only in 1698 Peter the Great, traveling through Europe, meets Peregrin Osborne (in Russian-language sources he is usually called the Marquis of Carmarthen). This absolutely fine man - the admiral, shipbuilder, duelist, eternal debtor, participant in military conflicts with France, which did not prevent him from hiding there for some time from his ill-wishers - fascinates Peter, he seeks to give the king the fastest English yacht, and concludes with him an incredibly profitable seven-year contract for the supply of tobacco to Russia. All legislative bans on smoking have since been abolished in Russia. When English merchants remind Peter that Russians, especially the spiritual estate, treat tobacco badly, the king promises to "remake them in his own way" when he returns home. Usually everything that Peter conceived, he managed - it happened this time, and since then, nicotine dependence is confidently striding across the country.
According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in modern Russia, 400 billion cigarettes and cigarettes are sold annually - 139 packs a year for each person, counting infants and the elderly.
The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS), the results of which are published on the website of the World Health Organization, showed that 60% of men and 22% of women smoke in Russia - a total of 44 million people.
But the problem is not in absolute numbers. In the same study, people were asked whether they had attempted to quit smoking during the past year. It turned out that a third of all Russian smokers recently tried to get rid of addiction, but only 11.2% of them at the time of the survey reported that they had succeeded. The remaining 88.8% broke and continued to smoke again. And this is still a good result - we can assume that our compatriots have an outstanding willpower.
The smoking cessation guide, which is used by the UK Ministry of Health, says that even with a combination of drug support and intensive psychotherapy, a six-month smoking cessation is possible for 12-19% of patients. The effectiveness of all other strategies does not exceed 10%. In this case, according to the US Department of Health, 68.8% of the addicts would like to quit smoking4. At the same time, 52.4% of American smokers made such an attempt during the last year and 6.2% achieved success.
Generally speaking, against the background of such statistics, talking about smoking as a bad habit is not entirely correct. If you call things by their own names, then it's much more like a real drug addiction.

CAST SMOKING EASY?

  1. Quitting smoking is easy, or false gain
Here everything is the other way round - the final part of the statement in the form confirms the initial, and in fact - refutes, destroys it. For example - Mark Twain's well-known joke: Quitting smoking is easy. I threw fifty times. G. Heine, answering the question, is Mrs. N. beautiful, said: She looks like Venus of Milos: just as old and as toothless. JC Jerome has such a comic phrase:
  2. Willingness to quit feeding
My child is two weeks old, breastfeeding does not work out as it should. My nipples are inflamed, the child does not look satisfied and friendly, I'm also not satisfied. Help! Breastfeeding should be an enjoyable occupation, otherwise the human race would not survive. From our experience it follows that breastfeeding almost always gets better, provided that the mother receives
  3. I find it difficult to accept the idea that we choose our parents. I read about this in your first book and I must admit that I still can not understand it. I am a foster child, and I always want to see my real mother. Why did I choose a mother who decided to leave me?
To learn how to love in spite of being abandoned. Because we always reap what we sow, an abandoned child is usually a soul who somehow left her child in her previous life. Apparently, this is your case. Forgiven to your biological mother that she left you, you automatically forgive yourself. To do this, you need open heart, a lot

I am an avid smoker, but I want to breastfeed my baby. Is smoking dangerous when breastfeeding? Smoking and a child are incompatible. Despite the fact that smoking is one of the most difficult habits to throw, you should stop smoking for yourself and your family, or at least drastically reduce the number of cigarettes smoked. You run the risk that anything you do not want to do
  6. Bad habits
At the moment, absolutely negative influence of nicotine and alcohol on the cardiovascular and nervous systems has been proved. Nicotine disrupts the ability of vessels to respond appropriately (narrowing or widening) in different situations and under stress. Alcohol, however, acting on the central nervous system, violates the nervous regulation of vascular tone. Both smoking and overuse
  7. From a false opposition to an absurdity one step
There is nothing more useless than universal rules. Thomas Macaulay In this chapter ... • It is better to overeat than to sleep, or false opposition • Quit smoking easily, or false reinforcement • Talking tomato, or bringing to the point of absurdity • Cheshire cat and wit
  8. Want or need
But here's what I had an interesting observation: if in my own speech to start managing only three words: "want", "must" and "should" - you can do amazing things and achieve absolutely incredible results! Imagine the owner of any bad habit, say, a smoker. Morning. - Hello everyone! How to smoke something you want! - Kettle turn on, TV too, and wash now?
  9. Prevention of tobacco smoking
Control over smoking in society should be multifaceted and include: • prohibition of any advertising of tobacco products, as well as sponsorship by their producers of youth and sports events; • comprehensive information on the health hazards of tobacco products; • protection at the legislative level of the rights of people who do not smoke; • tax and pricing policies, as well as other economic
  10. Treatment of chronic bronchitis
If the patient smokes all his life, and irreversible changes have already occurred, then it is useless to forbid smoking - it will not help. But if he smokes less than 20 years in a row, then there are no irreversible changes yet - to quit smoking, definitely. If the profession is harmful - change. Hardening. Begin with rubbing, massage the back with a towel between the shoulder blades. Bronchospasmolytic drugs. If non-obstructive
  11. Ann

  12. The road will master the going TUDA
If you do not know where you are going, you will never get there. That is, I want to say that if you are going to set a goal, aim! "Would you be so kind as to tell me which way I should get out of here?" Asked Alice. "It depends a lot on where you want to go," the Cat replied. "I do not care," said Alice. - Then there is no

Patient education. The active participation of patients in the treatment process is one of the main conditions
  14. Smoking and health
Without going into the historical digression of the appearance of tobacco, its reception, the nature of manufacturing, etc., I will give examples of harm to health. Only facts! It is proved that smoking plays a big role in the development of many diseases, the main of which are: ischemic heart disease, lung cancer, chronic bronchitis and emphysema.
