Perfume with pheromones: the main thing is to believe

Nevertheless, even among the monkeys there are great individual differences: there are males who do not care how the female smells — they still like her, and there are males with whom you can smell nothing, and you can throw a vaginal secret over your head — and in any case, they will not pay any attention to you.
We also have copulins in the vaginal lubricant, although their spectrum and concentration is less than in monkeys. In humans, as in animals, copulins are especially intensively synthesized during ovulation (respectively, their concentration significantly decreases when taking birth control pills). Moreover, there are fragmentary data that inhaling female copulins stimulates testosterone synthesis in men, has a positive effect on their assessment of female photos, and in behavioral game tests reduces their tendency to cooperate with other players (that is, increases the desire for competition). However, it is worth noting that research on this topic is strikingly small, and these are mainly materials of scientific conferences (and they are not subjected to such strict reviewing as articles in journals) or indirect references in reviews with reference to unpublished data.
There are very few studies showing that pheromones can increase sexual attractiveness. In 1998, the work of Winnifred Cutler, Erica Friedman and Norma MacCoy was published, in which men used aftershave lotion with pheromones added to it for six weeks (a commercial mixture based on Androstenone, designed to increase the attractiveness of men). It was a double-blind study (that is, neither the participant himself, nor the experimenter who gave him the lotion, did not know if there were pheromones in this sample), and indeed, it turned out that shaving lotion with androstenone contributes to personal life21. Among those 17 participants who got pheromone lotion, eight people reported an increase in the frequency of sexual contacts, and in the group with placebo lotion, which consisted of 21 people, only two noted this effect. A similar picture was observed for sharing sleep with women, the number of touches and kisses, the frequency of informal dates (meaning the situation when people crossed at a party and suddenly went for a walk together). At the same time, there was no difference in the number of formal dates (this is when you agreed to meet in advance, dressed up and follow generally accepted rules: a flower there, dinner, for which the man usually pays, a kiss on the cheek for goodbye) and there was no difference in frequency masturbation, that is, pheromones did not affect directly libido. The authors conclude that pheromones have increased the attractiveness of research participants for women; but the sample is small, the effect is far from being observed for everyone, so this is not a miracle remedy, but only one of dozens of factors that make up a man’s appeal. It is a pity that there is no experiment in which the positive effects of pheromones would be compared, for example, with the effect of whether the man has a Ph.D. degree, a motorcycle or long eyelashes. For some reason it seems to me that the motorcycle would have won with a crushing score.
In 2002, Norma McCoy, along with Lisa Pitino, published an article about the effects of female pheromones on attractiveness. The study used a synthetic mixture developed by Winnifred Cutler and her colleagues based on axillary secretions of women; its chemical composition is not disclosed in the article, because at that time the patent had not expired. Women were also divided into two groups, with pheromones and placebo. You could be wary of the fact that the average age of the participants in the pheromone group was four years less than that of the participants in the placebo group (25.6 vs. 29.5), but the overall variation in age was large, from 19 to 48 years old, so, apparently, this is a fluctuation, a side effect of random division into groups. In addition, women in the study did not compare at all with each other - each reported changes in the frequency of contacts with men regarding their own usual level, which made the differences in age (and other factors affecting attractiveness) between different participants insignificant. Nine out of 19 participants in the group that used pheromones, and only one out of 17 participants in the placebo group, reported an increase in the frequency of sex. Similar results were observed for the frequency of joint sleep, kissing, and for some reason for formal dates. For informal dates, masturbation, and male attempts to meet, no significant difference between the groups was found. In the conclusion of the article, the authors in every way praise the excellent pheromone formula developed in a friendly institute. Among other things, they lament that it was not possible to show that men often meet women who use pheromones, because from the very beginning we have women in the group of users of pheromones, with whom men meet more often than women from a placebo group . This, they say, is pure coincidence, but we have proved the main thing: that pheromones help sleep with men, and this is important for the continuation of the race.
In books about sex, you can sometimes find a recommendation to use your own vaginal discharge as a perfume: it is assumed that this will lead a potential partner, although he will not understand what was the matter. Being a biology popularizer, I adore every kind of trash, and therefore, if I could justify this advice convincingly, then on behalf of experimental science, I would recommend that everyone smear their own lubrication before dating, I would definitely do it. But, unfortunately, data on human copulins are too fragmentary and contradictory to claim that they actually excite men. However, the technique is still funny, so that you can use it, there will be no harm. In principle, it can work simply due to the conditioned reflex: the smell of vaginal lubrication is usually associated with sex in people. It would be interesting, of course, to collect a group of virgins, make them smell vaginal lubricant (not to mention it) and report on their feelings, but so far, unfortunately, I have not come across such a study. Apparently, the smell of lubricant and the smell of axillary sweat of women (as well as the pheromone compositions created on its basis) can really signal to men that a woman is ready to conceive, which increases interest. From this point of view, it is logical, to go on a date during the unsuitable phase of the cycle, to borrow a little sweat and grease from a friend. But this may not work: a person, in contrast to rhesus monkeys, does not belong to the species in which ovulation is loudly advertised. We, on the contrary, hide it: women have a faint smell, men have a bad sense of smell. So the benefit of pheromones in any case will be small and it is better to present each other not a fake, but the real smell of their armpits. The fact is that it is the individual peculiarities of the smell that allow us not only to attract anyone, but to choose the most suitable partner.

  1. MAIN VIENNA
The veins are located more superficially than the arteries, are in most cases parallel to them and, with rare exceptions, have the same names. Most veins have valves that prevent backflow of blood. The veins of the penis, hollow, portal, dairy, hepatic, renal, veins of the brain and spinal cord do not have valves. Often one artery corresponds to two venous vessels. In
  2. Main aspects of life
Love and family. Youth is often called the age of love. It is characterized by an optimal combination of psychological, physiological, social and other factors favoring the choice of a life partner and the creation of a family. During this period, the vast majority of people enter into first marriages, it is usually the age of the greatest sexual activity, the time when a woman’s body is best adapted to

Evolution has consolidated a single region of tightly linked histocompatibility genes, whose products are
  4. Commentary on the concept of the main food factor
Fans of this theory believe that the body must be fully provided with some one or more nutritional factors, and all other components of food are either secondary or simply not needed. Naturally, with this approach, not only secondary substrates disappear from the diet, but also some indispensable nutrients. That the concept of the main food factor is contrived and

  7. Main mediators of the acute phase response
Interleukin-1 is a multifunctional (pleotropic) cytokine, discovered for the first time as a product of leukocytes, which causes fever when administered to animals. IL-1 belongs to a family consisting of three structurally related peptides: interleukin-1-alpha (IL-1-a); interleukin-1-beta (IL-1- (3) and receptor antagonist for IL-1. Two known forms of IL-1 (a and (3) are products of separate genes. They are
  8. The main thing about child care and biochemical transformation
This chapter is written for the revised American edition of Macrobiotic Zen for purely practical purposes. Many adults, who with ease and pleasure made Macrobiotics through their lives, with fear and indecisiveness in their faces, responded to questions raised regarding the use of non-traditional dietary regimens for children. How do we know we are doing the right thing? What to do in the case of ...?
  9. Essence, object, subject and main goals of pedagogy
All the previous development of pedagogy allowed in the XX century to form it as an independent branch of human knowledge. At present, pedagogy is the science of the education, training, education and development of individuals and groups uniting them. Its internal structure consists of two components: the theory and practice of education and the theory and practice of education (didactics).

In the overseas kingdom, in the Zamarian state there lived a Siberian dragon. His name was Kawwa-Saki. Or Sawa Kaki. Or somehow - but this does not matter, because the locals still forgot what the terrible name of the dragon is and called him in their own way: Pavel Zaikin. Because Zamarskoe state of Siberia defended far. You ask, how did the Siberian dragon end up in Zamariya?
  11. Alcohol and tobacco are the main enemies of our health and vision.
I will read you a lecture now, and then something, conclusions, we will give a record. Many of you, comrades-in-arms, remember that fifteen years ago, in the year 85, the so-called anti-alcohol decrees of the party and the government were adopted. And in those resolutions it was said that problems associated with alcohol consumption in our country sharply worsened, and drunkenness and alcoholism reached threatening

Hibernation and sleep Hibernation refers to excessive and heavy sleep, but not every excessive and hard sleep, but one that is heavy both in duration and quality. It lasts longer [normal] and is stronger in quality, so it is difficult to wake up from it, even if [a person] is awakened. Sleep is natural in duration and in quality, either heavy or [shifting] into deep hibernation. Speaking

  14. Stages of the formation of acmeology, its goals, object, subject and main scientific and practical tasks
Acmeology in the course of its development has confidently outgrown the status of an important section of age psychology - “the psychology of adulthood or maturity”, becoming independent and passing through all the stages of formation characteristic of any science. Among acmeologists there are two points of view regarding the number of these stages completed and their content. According to the first point of view * there were three such stages: •
  15. Optimization of the pedagogical process in the university as the main condition in the preparation of a future specialist
It is known that the concept of "optimization" in relation to the educational process has traditionally been in the field of pedagogy research. The direction of the most recent research in this area has shifted towards educational psychology, which is associated with the need to analyze the mechanisms for optimizing educational activities. This means that the concept of "optimization" has two sides
  16. I have always believed that the appearance, appearance of a person does not matter, that the most important thing in a person is his inner beauty.
Recently I met a man who I really like, but to put up with his appearance is beyond my strength. I do not know what to do. How to treat him? You thought that appearance did not matter, because you wanted to convince yourself of this. Now you realize that you were not sincere with yourself. If you are convinced that the appearance of a person is important to you, then just agree with
