"CHEMISTRY OF LOVE" - WHAT MATTERS ARE SPEAKING ABOUT?

Mammals also produce pheromones and react to them. In Mary Roach's book Sex for Science. Science for sex "is an exciting description of the artificial fertilization of pigs on a farm in Denmark. According to the recommendations of the local national committee for the production of pork, animals need to be raised before fertilization - studies have shown that in this case they bring in 6% more pigs. Therefore, in order to prepare the female for insemination, the zootechnician imitates the boar's courtship - for example, thrusts a fist or knee between the hind legs of a female and rhythmically stimulates her vulva. But, in addition, pigs are also treated with male pheromones before fertilization. To do this, you can either run an excited boar to walk between the rows of cells, so that it slobs every female, or just buy a specially designed spray with the smell of wild boar sweat and inject it to each female in a patch.
Perceptions of pheromones in animals are answered by a vomeronasal organ (an alternative name is Jakobson's organ). This is a separate area of the olfactory epithelium, the signals from which are processed in the brain not like ordinary smells: they do not go to the main, but to the additional olfactory bulb, and from there the information goes to the amygdala and hypothalamus. Already these anatomical features point to the important role of the vomeronasal organ in the formation of animal behavior. The almond-shaped body is necessary for experiencing emotions (both positive and negative), and the hypothalamus is the central control center of the endocrine system, it collects information from the entire brain and makes decisions about which hormones to allocate and in what quantities.
In snakes, the Jacobson organ is connected to the oral cavity. That's why their language is bifurcated. It is used not only for the sense of touch, but also for the transfer of molecules to the entrance apertures of the vomeronasal organ. This system is so sensitive that it can detect a tiny difference in the smell of the partner (or prey) on the right and left side of the tongue to determine the direction in which to move in order to catch the desired object4. But the way to help the vomeronasal organ to catch the smell is also in mammals: that's why they sharply suck in the air with their mouths, stretching their lips into something like a smile. So do horses, cows, cats and many other animals. This action is called a flemain and has a profound meaning, helping to better sense biologically significant smells. But people usually think that the horse just makes faces.

"CHEMISTRY OF LOVE" - WHAT MATTERS ARE SPEAKING ABOUT?

  1. How to help a person who is going to get divorced, do not feel guilty? It's about a man who is married for fifteen years and has two children of eight and fifteen.
First of all, did this person apply to you for help? This is the most important point that should be checked in any form of relationship related to the provision of assistance. You must also understand that only he himself can really help himself. His sense of guilt comes from his mental perception. He himself must choose whether he wishes to continue to feel guilty or wants
  2. Chemistry of acids and bases
Concentration of hydrogen ions and pH In any aqueous solution, the water molecules reversibly dissociate into hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions: H2O ~ H + + OH '. The kinetics of this process can be described with the help of the dissociation constant Kw: Kw = [H +] x [OhT] = I (Г14) The water concentration in the denominator of this equation is omitted, since it does not have a significant value and is already included in the constant,
  3. MORPHOLOGY, CHEMISTRY AND MEAT PROCESSING
In the meat industry and in trade it is generally accepted by meat to call all parts of the animal carcass after removal of the skin, separation of the head, lower extremities and internal organs. Consequently, morphologically, meat is a complex tissue complex that includes muscular tissue along with connective tissues, fat, bone, blood and lymphatic vessels,
  4. When to use gloves
Be sure to use sterile gloves: • In any surgical procedure; • When a sterile tube or device is inserted into normally sterile body fluids (blood, liquor); • When a sterile needle is inserted into the body's deep tissues (usually to obtain a material for research or infusion of drugs); • When placing a central catheter or conduit through
  5. When my husband and I quarrel, he goes out of the house.
It's already a habit. He leaves immediately, as soon as he sees that a quarrel is brewing - go to friends or play billiards, and I am left alone with my experiences. I consider it my duty to stay at home, because I do not want to leave the children alone. And he always manages to leave. I feel like a prisoner. How can I be in this situation? Do you really also want to leave home or only
  6. Speech
Speech is the process of communication between people, the exchange of thoughts through language, words. The speech arose in the process of socio-historical development of man simultaneously with thinking. Gestures and facial expressions also participate in communication, but, arising from the sound language, they play a limited, auxiliary role. Exchange of thoughts in the process of communication of people is a vital need. It involves two
  7. In what cases should a separate diet be considered as a curative
    1. When food acids contained in acidic fruits can not be taken simultaneously with products containing starch: bread, cereals, potatoes, pasta, etc.? "When" is only the first part of the question to be answered. The second part is "why". And from it, perhaps, it is easier to begin consideration of this fundamental rule of separate food.
  8. Speech external and internal
Of the various methods of reducing articulation, the most effective is the method of central speech interference, or the method of arrhythmic tapping. This method was developed by NI Zhinkin and used by him to study the patterns of internal speech. The concept of inner speech is very important for us, so let's look more closely at what inner speech is. A. A. Leontiev believes,
  9. The swelling. Reads the one who has no vision
And now I want to pour some dirt on your "smart" head, which keeps you in diseases and problems. If during a training session you have doubts and thoughts in your head: "It will help - it will not help ?! It will help - will not help ?! "- all! You are doomed to fail in the hole, where you both hang out, and will hang out! I was there six years ago. So, any exercises that you perform,
  10. Thinking and speaking
By its greatest achievements, the human race owes its ability to generate complex thoughts, exchange them and act in accordance with them. Thinking involves a wide range of mental activities. We think when we are trying to solve a problem posed in a class; we think, when we dream in anticipation of these classes in the classroom. We think when we decide what to buy in grocery when we plan a vacation,
  11. Stage 3. Discussion "In what areas does the society expect different behavior from men and women?"
As a rule, students say that the society expects different behavior from men and women in the family when choosing occupations, in relation to politics, following traditions, to the army and war, to sex, to appear in the media, to raise and care for children, the desire to get income and earn money, to the appearance, the age of marriage, the age of the onset of sexual activity, etc.
  12. Speech and practical action in the child's behavior
Our studies have led us not only to believe in the falsity of this approach, but at the same time to the positive conclusion that the greatest genetic moment in all intellectual development, from which purely human forms of practical and cognitive intelligence have grown, consists in the union of the two originally completely independent lines of development. The use of tools by a child
  13. Thinking and Speaking Preface
The present work is a psychological study of one of the most difficult, confusing and most complex issues of experimental psychology - the question of thinking and speech. The systematic experimental development of this problem, as far as we know, has not been undertaken by any of the researchers at all. The solution of the problem before us, at least with a primary approximation, could be
  14. The first chapter "The Current State of the Problem of Love in the Scientific Literature"
The first chapter "Current state of the problem of love in the scientific literature" is devoted to the analysis of theoretical and empirical studies of the phenomenon of love. In paragraph 1.1 "Love as an interdisciplinary problem," an analysis of the history of the development of views of love in philosophy and sociology is carried out, which served as a prerequisite for further psychological analysis. An understanding of love in
