Picture 6: Why, Scientific Schedule

Why is the company forced to make reductions - it's not just in numbers, right?
I am the head of the company and I want every employee to know about some significant changes that we plan to make. Why are global market forces pushing us out of manufacturing? Why can not we continue to do as before?
I am four years old and I want to know why the sky is blue, why I can not watch TV all day and why parents do not like it when I constantly ask questions. Why can't I stop?
As all these examples show, there are two ways to answer the question “why”:
“Good enough” (because we need to save money, because we need to take into account globalization issues or because I said so) and a true hidden answer (better sit down, because we will need a lot of time to explain), which we will call “ scientific ".
Since there are two ways to answer the question “why”, this last piece gets two pictures *: simple for a “good enough” answer and difficult for a “science-like” answer. We will give the second picture a terribly sounding, but exact (from a scientific point of view) title already familiar to us in the morning: portrait **.
