Scientific novelty and theoretical significance

The types of understanding “understanding-acceptance” and “understanding-rejection” of manipulation are first identified. From the theoretical positions of the subject-activity approach in psychology, in the framework of which human activity is emphasized, the theoretical and psychological foundations of the connection between understanding and behavior are analyzed. For the first time, the problem of understanding manipulation is considered in connection with Machiavellianism and other personality traits (rigidity, life-orientation, communicative orientation in communication, self-assertion strategies, self-awareness, subjective assessment of interpersonal relationships).
