It is noted that the optimization of training for martial arts athletes is the creation of the most optimal conditions for special, general physical and psychological training in order to make full use of intellectual, physical and mental capabilities.

Optimization of training athletes in the interests of forming their psychological readiness for competitive activity in extreme situations should include special actions of coaches, psychologists to justify and implement in specific conditions the most effective and high-quality solution of sports problems in extreme situations.

The recommendations to the trainers on the formation of psychological readiness of martial arts athletes for competitive activity in extreme situations were substantiated. The results of the study made it possible to identify the leading psychological and pedagogical conditions for the success of the psychological preparation of combat sports athletes for competitive activity in extreme situations.

A special subsection of the chapter is devoted to substantiating recommendations for improving the training of athletes in martial arts with the help of a comprehensive psychological and pedagogical program and a number of technologies identified by us. It is noted that the modeling of the psychological factors of competitive activity in the preparation process is one of the most important ways to increase the efficiency of the process of forming the psychological readiness of athletes for competitive activity in extreme situations.

An experimental study was conducted to optimize the training process in order to form psychological readiness in martial arts athletes. The experimental study was based on a comprehensive targeted psychological and pedagogical program, which is an interconnection of structural and functional elements that implement the theoretical, practical, psychological and methodological support of sports training, subordinate to the formation of athletes' psychological readiness for competitive activity in extreme situations.

The following elements were identified as structural elements of a comprehensive targeted psychological and pedagogical program: goals, educational information; organization of training; forms and methods of psychological and pedagogical impact on athletes, the activities of trainers; control and self-control during training, correction of the results of activity and behavior.
An important element of the comprehensive target program was the psychological and pedagogical support of all participants in the preparation process.

During the implementation of the psychological and pedagogical program, the following technologies were used to form the psychological readiness of martial arts athletes for competitive activity in extreme situations - this is the technology of psychological support for all participants in the pedagogical process (selection, support, psychological and pedagogical support and correction); technology of integrated methodological support for the program implementation process (monitoring of the main components of psychological readiness, assessment and forecast of its severity levels); information technology for all participants in the pedagogical process; technology of targeted increase in the level of psychological and pedagogical skills of trainers; technologies of organizational and pedagogical impact on athletes, modeling of extreme situations and the use of feedback (Fig. 2).

to competitive activity

For the formation of psychological readiness of martial arts athletes for competitive activity in extreme situations, a formative experiment was conducted. Its results showed that after two months of training in the experimental group of a high level of psychological readiness they reach 36.7%; 53.3% manage to reach the average level of psychological readiness by this time; low level of psychological readiness remains in 10% of athletes.

After three months of training, the differences in indicators of psychological readiness among athletes of the experimental and control groups are even more clearly visible. 53.6% of the experimental group athletes and 40.2% of the control group athletes reach a high level.

Thus, the results of a formative psychological and pedagogical experiment confirmed the effectiveness of the developed criteria, technologies and programs for the formation of psychological readiness of combat sportsmen for competitive activity in extreme situations.

The results of the study allowed us to confirm the hypothesis of the study, as well as to justify and formulate the following conclusions and practical recommendations.
