Sideropenic conditions are a global problem for all mankind, especially for the population of developing countries, due to the wide spread of this pathology among children, especially in young children. This manual shows the importance of iron and its deficiency for the normal development of the child's body. The clinic, treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia in children are described in detail. Taking into account the principles of evidence-based medicine, the characteristics of modern iron preparations (ionic and non-ionic), methods of their application depending on the severity of sideropenia in a child are given. The manual is addressed to students, interns and clinical residents of the pediatric faculty.
