Stage 5. The plot of the game "Interview"

Participants are invited to play a story on the topic "Interview", in which there is some kind of discrimination.

Possible plots

Plot 1. Discrimination in the situation of employment. The role of the leader (men). During the job interview, the employer informs the girl applying for the vacancy that her candidacy is rejected, since the position of the head of the department to which the competition is announced should be occupied by a man. In the views of the employer, a young girl (25 years old), unmarried, even with a good education and work experience in the specialty, can not cope with the work of the head. In addition, the employer is afraid that she will marry and go into the decree, which is economically unprofitable organization.

The role of the candidate for a position (women). In this situation, the interviewer builds her response based on her own experience, the system of ideas and the desire to resolve the situation in her favor. During the interview, she tries to change the prejudice of the employer.

Scenes are given schematically, so students who volunteered to play interview participants themselves offer specific features of the organization and characters. The role-playing game usually takes place in a lively form, and the participants show their creative abilities.

Before the start of each story, the participants receive small leaflets on which the content of their role is written, and 2-3 minutes discuss them: they come up with a place and time for events; give names to the characters; discuss the outcome of the interview.

It is advisable to introduce a time limit on the playing of the plot - no more than 15-20 minutes. At the discretion of the facilitator or by decision of the group, not all plots can be played, or the plots proposed by the group itself can be added.
