The first fundamental clinical guide to cardiology, prepared by leading experts of the main specialized institution of Ukraine - NSC “Institute of Cardiology. N.D. Strazhesko "AMS of Ukraine. Of the vast amount of modern scientific and medical information, the authors chose the most important information for the practical physician, which in the manual is conveniently grouped into logical block sections according to the relevant clinical sections. In the presentation of the material used worldwide accepted principles of evidence-based medicine. The publication contains information about the epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, current views on their etiology and pathogenesis, up-to-date data on modern methods of diagnosis and treatment based on the results of recent multicenter clinical studies and current recommendations of international expert organizations, as well as on the extensive personal experience of the authors of the manual. Much attention is paid to the preventive aspects of cardiology. Separate sections of the publication are devoted to interventional methods of treatment in cardiology, special aspects of clinical pharmacology, standards of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system.
