A.V. Pasechnik, E.G. Moiseeva, V.A. Frolov, G.A. Drozdova Inflammation and metabolic disorders 2011
Treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases reduces the levels of such factors of cardiovascular risk, as C-reactive protein and fibrinogen, established by American scientists. This is another proof of the connection between periodontal diseases and cardiovascular pathology. C-reactive protein (CRP) and fibrinogen are acute-phase proteins and systemic markers of inflammation.

As it was stated at the 82nd general session of the International Association of Dental Research (Honolulu, Hawaii, USA), complex treatment resulted in a significant decrease in initially elevated concentrations of CRP (not less than 3 mg / L) and fibrinogen (not less than 3 g / l). The concentration of CRP and fibrinogen decreased by 9 months with mechanical treatment only, and by 6 months with the addition of an antibacterial drug (p <0.05).

Thus, in patients with elevated levels of CRP, the removal of plaque bacteria in combination with local antibiotic therapy reduced the concentration of CRP to the characteristic of low cardiovascular risk figures.

Today, we and many other authors develop effects of complex therapy on the levels of other markers of inflammation - cytokines, including effects on metabolic proaterogenic parameters.

Leonova EV Chanturia A. V. Wismont F. I. Pathological physiology of the blood system 2009
Blood is an extremely complex, especially vital system, which largely determines the integrity of the body. For a doctor of any specialty, you need to know the basics of hematology. Pathophysiological aspects of blood system disorders for the clinician are of significant importance. This is the subject of this manual. It includes modern information on hematopoiesis, violation of erythro-, leuko-, thrombocytopoiesis, pathology of hemostasis, anti-hemostasis, typical forms and reactive changes in erythrocyte, leukocyte, platelet, hemostasis and anti-hemostasis systems, as well as issues related to etiology, pathogenesis, changes blood in the most common types of anemia, erythrocytosis, leukemia, hemostasiopathy.

The expediency of the publication of this manual is due to the rapid development of hematology, its enrichment with new achievements and ideas that have not been adequately reflected in the educational literature, the need to present them in an accessible form for students.

The purpose of the classes is to study the causes and mechanisms of disturbances in the processes of erythro-, leuko-, thrombocytopoiesis, hemostasis-antigemostasis; typical changes in blood elements, etiology, pathogenesis of various types of anemia, erythrocytosis, leukemia, hemostasiopathy; changes in their blood picture.

The objectives of the classes are: ...

OA Kolenchukova, S.V. Smirnova, A.A. Savchenko Microbiocenosis of the nasal mucosa and rhinosinusitis 2011
The monograph is devoted to the actual problems of otorhinolaryngology, microbiology and immunology. Questions of microbiocenosis of the nasal mucosa depending on the etiology and pathogenesis of rhinosinusitis are considered. Specific features of the microbiocenosis of the nasal mucosa under various pathogenetic forms of rhinosinusitis (allergic and pseudoallergic genesis) have been established. The emphasis is placed on the specificity of microbial flora in polyposis and bacterial rhinosinusitis. A characteristic of the microbial landscape of the nasal mucosa in rhinosinusitis is given, depending on the type of immunopathological basis for the triggering of allergic inflammation.

The book is intended for bacteriologists, microbiologists, otorhinolaryngologists, allergologists-immunologists, students and post-graduate students of medical universities.

Kochkin R.V. Impedance audiometry 2006
Methods of hearing research, based on the assessment of the test subjects' sensations arising from the presentation of sound signals (subjective audiometry) are rightfully dominant in the clinic. In fact, these are psychoacoustic tests. It is in the peculiarities of sensation that unlimited opportunities for studying various aspects and manifestations of hearing are hidden. However, there are a number of situations in which the use of subjective indicators is impossible or undesirable. In particular, objective methods acquire special significance in the study of hearing in children, in cases of insufficiency of the mental development of the studied, in the case of impaired consciousness due to various diseases and traumas. In the course of military, labor, forensic medical examination, there is often a need for an objective assessment of the state of the auditory function without participation in this process of the subject. In this book "Impedance audiometry" tells about one of the methods of objective hearing evaluation, which has recently become widespread in clinical audiology, is acoustic impedance measurement - the measurement of the acoustic impedance of the middle ear.

"Intestinal infections and their prevention. Distinctive signs of intestinal infections from food poisoning of microbial nature "Intestinal infections include typhoid fever, paratyphoid A and B, dysentery, cholera, infectious hepatitis, etc. This group of diseases is characterized by the same localization of the pathogen (intestine), the same mechanisms and ways of infection (fecal -oral, contact-household), similar intestinal manifestations of the disease (disturbance of the intestinal tract function), as well as general principles of control and prevention. Sources of infection are only a sick person and bacterium carrier; except for paratyphus B, whose source, apart from man, can be some animals (cattle, pigs, birds). A special role in the spread of intestinal infections belongs to the food and waterways, which is associated with the long-term survival of pathogens in water and food.
