The technique of “Memory for images”

Designed to study figurative memory. The technique is used in professional selection. The essence of the method lies in the fact that the subject is exposed to a table with 16 images for 20 s. Images must be remembered and reproduced on the form within 1 minute.

Instruction: “You will be presented with a table with images. Your task is to remember as many images as possible in 20 seconds. In 20 seconds the table will be removed, and you will have to sketch or write down verbally those images that you remember. ”

Evaluation of the test results is carried out according to the number of correctly reproduced images.

Methodology: “The meaningfulness of perception in memorization”


Material. Pairs of words to remember: a doll - to play, a chicken - an egg, scissors - to cut, a horse - hay, a book - to teach, a butterfly - a fly, a brush - teeth, a drum - a pioneer, snow - winter, a cock - screaming, ink - a notebook, a cow - milk, steam locomotive - go, pear - fruit compote, lamp - evening.

Students read out the words. They should try to remember them in pairs. Then the teacher reads only the first word of each pair, and students write the second.

When checking slowly read a couple of words. If the second word is spelled correctly, then put "+", if it is incorrect or not written at all - put "-".
