Field of professional activity:

Objects of professional activity

The objects of professional activity are: scientific and pedagogical activity in the field of psychology in higher educational institutions, work in research institutions, teaching psychology in a comprehensive and secondary special school, work in out-of-school, pre-school and school institutions as a psychologist (with the right engage in psycho-diagnostics, counseling and psycho-correctional work), a medical psychologist in institutions of the Ministry of Health (with the right to engage in psycho-prophylaxis, psycho-diagnosis such as expertise, counseling, psycho-correctional work and psychotherapy), a social psychologist in the field of management, business, industry, mass communications, a psychologist in social-pedagogical, psychological, career guidance services, in units of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, State Security Committee.

Tasks of professional activity

A university graduate should be competent to solve the following professional tasks:

? carry out educational and educational-methodical work in the field of psychology and related sciences;

? to plan, organize and conduct psychoprophylactic, psychodiagnostic, psychocorrectional, psycho-consultative and psychotherapeutic work;

? conduct theoretical and applied research;

? disseminate psychological knowledge among all social groups and segments of the population, provide psychological services;

? use knowledge and skills of managing labor collectives and put them into practice;

? use scientific research methods in the analysis of modern socio-political and socio-economic processes.

The practical and scientific research activities of a psychologist should be aimed at studying and optimizing psychological factors in all types of human activities.



Composition of competencies

Specialist training should ensure the formation of the following groups of competencies:

academic competencies, including knowledge and skills in the studied disciplines, abilities and skills to learn;

social and personal competencies, including cultural and value orientations, knowledge of the ideological, moral values ​​of society and the state and the ability to follow them;

professional competencies, including knowledge and skills to formulate problems, solve problems, develop plans and ensure their implementation in the chosen field of professional activity.
