Theoretical and Practical Psychology

In recent decades, practical psychology has begun to actively develop in our country. What is the difference between psychology as a science and psychology as a practical activity? It seems possible to answer this question if we turn to the functions of psychology.

Function (from lat. Functio - departure, activity) - Duty, range of activities, work, appointment.

Psychology performs the same functions as any other scientific discipline:

• description,

• explanation

• prediction.

These functions are interconnected. So, a prerequisite for prediction (prognostic function) is to explain the state of things by searching for patterns from which this situation follows under given conditions. However, psychology cannot be limited to an objective reflection of the subject, even the most reliable. From it is required to influence reality, transform, improve it.
Therefore, it combines two functions, which in other scientific fields are usually divided between different disciplines: scientific-theoretical and constructive-technical (normative, regulatory). The scientific and theoretical function is inherent in such fundamental sciences as physics, chemistry, biology, structural and technical - in technical sciences, etc. In psychology, as in pedagogy, these functions are combined. Psychology cannot be characterized only as a theoretical or only as an applied science. Realizing the scientific and theoretical function, the researcher reflects the studied phenomena as they are, as existing. The result is knowledge that uses practical psychology in the process of working with clients.

Theoretical and Practical Psychology

  2. Theoretical and theoretical and practical research in acmeology
Today, it is fully understood that the higher levels of the human psyche make the problem of the psychological dimension insoluble: “uniqueness is immeasurable and even unnamed, since any“ names ”already form an equivalence class ... the“ internal ”dynamics of the psyche can lead to the emergence of a new property, which in itself makes an invariant representation impossible and violates
  3. Theoretical and theoretical and practical research in acmeology
The concept of personal and professional formation as a component of the categorical apparatus of modern acmeology. 4. Theoretical and theoretical and practical research in acmeology
Since acmeology arose and exists at the intersection of sciences, using, in particular, the achievements of technical disciplines, it will be entirely legitimate to try to propose a unit of measurement of acme. As such, we offer "Akmen." 1 acmen is a person’s achievements, which are reduced to his survival under normal conditions. The range from 1 to 5 acme is the same qualities, but ensuring survival in
  5. The problem of practical intelligence in animal psychology and child psychology
At the very beginning of the development of child psychology as a special branch of psychological research, K. Stumpf tried to describe the nature of a new scientific field, comparing it with botany. K. Linnaeus, he said, as you know, called botany a pleasant science. This is not very suitable for modern botany ... If any science deserves to be called pleasant, then this is precisely the psychology of childhood, the science of

The fourth source of psychological knowledge is practical psychology. Her tasks include finding ways and developing methods of psychological assistance to people. In this case, practical experience and
  9. Practical Psychology and Its Features
Practical psychology is a psychology focused on the needs of a wide range of educated people, at least people of a sufficient level of cultures.
