Organization and research methods

Subject of study: psychological characteristics of the personality of military men and women.

Object of study: a sample of 20 people (10 women in the military service and 10 men also in the service).

The purpose of the study: to identify the psychological characteristics of women’s military personnel in comparison with military men.

The steps towards achieving the goal of the study are specified in the following tasks:

• Based on the analysis of the literature, form a hypothesis that is adequate to the purpose of the study;

• Select research tools capable of confirming or refuting the hypothesis;

• Conduct a study of the psychological characteristics of the individual with 10 military women and 10 men using the selected techniques;

• Carry out the processing of diagnostic results and analyze them.

Research hypothesis: women military personnel have a number of psychological features compared to military men.

Subjects: the sample is represented by 10 women and 10 men holding military posts of the police department of various districts of the city of Vladimir. The service experience in the sample ranges from 1 year to 15 years. Age of women: from 25 to 44; men from 24 to 37 years old.

Methods used:

1. The primary research of military men and women was carried out using a specially designed and recommended by military psychologists questionnaire to assess socio-demographic parameters, motivation for entering the military service and military professional orientation. The questionnaire included seven questions, the answers to which allowed to assess the attitude to military service, self-attitude and self-esteem of personal qualities, motives of professional activity, satisfaction with the service and experience of joining new teams. Each question was offered several answers.

2. Also used a multi-level personality questionnaire MLO ("Adaptability"), developed by A. G. Maklakov (1994) and designed to study the adaptive capabilities of an individual based on an assessment of certain psychophysiological and socio-psychological characteristics that reflect the integral characteristics of psychological and social development. The methodology is based on the idea of adaptation as a continuous process of the person’s active adaptation to the constantly changing conditions of the social environment and professional activity.

The effectiveness of adaptation largely depends on

? how really a person perceives himself and his social connections,

? precisely compares its needs with existing capabilities and

? aware of the motives of his behavior.

Distorted or underdeveloped self-image leads to impaired adaptation, which may be accompanied by:

? increased conflict

? relationship disruption

? decreased performance

? deterioration in health.

Cases of profound impairment of adaptation may result in:

? to gross violations of military discipline, law and order,

? suicidal acts

? disruption of professional activity

? the development of disease.

The questionnaire contains 165 questions and has the following scales:

- "reliability" (D);

- "neuropsychic resistance" (NPU);

- "communicative potential" (KP);

- "moral normative" (MN);

- "personality adaptive potential" (LAP).

The results are processed according to four “keys” corresponding to the scales: “reliability”, “neuropsychic stability”, communicative abilities, “moral normativeness”, and “personal adaptive potential.” For each question in the test, the subject can answer “yes” or “ no. "Therefore, when processing the results, the number of answers that coincide with the" key "is taken into account. Each match with the" key "is evaluated as one" raw "point. The confidence scale estimates the degree of objectivity of the answers. In case the total number of" raw "points exceeds If the result is 10, then the obtained data should be considered unreliable due to the desire of the soldier to correspond to the socially desired type of person. During a mass examination, as well as with a lack of time, the process of determining the socio-psychological adaptation of the military can be accelerated. For this, it is enough to have two "keys". and scales of personal adaptive potential.

LAP scale - a higher level.

It includes the scales of “neuropsychic stability”, “communicative abilities”, “moral normativity” and gives an idea of the adaptive abilities of a person as a whole, but does not allow obtaining additional information about the psychological characteristics of the subjects.

We evaluated the indicators of the “Adaptability” methodology in accordance with the proposed tables.

Interpretation of adaptive abilities on the LAP scale

Interpretation of the main scales of the adaptability methodology

Thus, we selected methods that allowed us to identify the most professionally important psychological characteristics of the personality of women’s military personnel and compare the corresponding indicators with the results of men’s military personnel.

Organization and research methods

  1. Research methods and organization
    In the theoretical part of the thesis, we considered the current state of knowledge of the stated research topic. Theories of the mental development of a teenager should reveal the main neoplasm of this period, explain the process of its development,

  6. THE METHOD OF “Slices” AND THE METHOD OF STEP-BY-STEP FORMING IN THE STUDY OF CHILD'S THINKING
    A comparison of our ideas with the ideas of J. Piaget is of great importance to us, for we also proceed from action as the central problem of mental life and psychology. 10. Empirical study design
    Essential for developmental psychology is the organization (construction) of empirical research. The method of slicing is most specific in relation to the tasks of developmental psychology. 13. Problem statement and experimental research organization
    If the laws of development of the conceptual structures of chemistry and chemical abilities that we have identified correspond to reality, then the organization of the formative experiment according to the program developed in accordance with the laws of formation of these structures should lead to a higher increase in the indices of special abilities as compared to training that does not take into account these laws.
  14. Methodology for organizing a pilot study
    A general requirement for the organization of experimental work is the definition of logic, methodological tools for conducting a stating, formative and control experiment to test the hypothesis put forward. The research base was the Stavropol branch of the Rostov Military Institute of the Strategic Missile Forces, the Rostov Military Institute of the Strategic Missile Forces, the Stavropol Branch of the Military Aviation
  15. Research methods
    The choice of research methods was determined by the multifaceted nature of research tasks. For the implementation of the tasks, a complex of scientific methods was used, combined in the framework of a ascertaining study and a developing experiment. 17. Forms and methods of organizing and conducting combat training classes
    The form of training is the organizational side of the educational process. It depends on the purpose, composition of the trainees and determines the structure of the lesson, the place and duration of the training questions, the role and specifics of the leader, his assistant and trainees, the use of elements of educational material and technical base, training and military equipment. Forms of education are divided into general
