The main forms of relations in a military team

Relations in a military collective come in two main forms. Firstly, this is a formal (official) relationship. They are determined by the organizational structure of the unit, which fixes in it the functions of each soldier, the scope of his duties, rights and responsibilities. Formal relations are, as it were, external to the soldiers, since they are set from the outside through laws, charters, instructions, and orders.

leadership and subordination, cooperation in the process of joint military professional activity. For example, the relationship between the commander of the warhead of the ship (CU) and the commander of the ship is largely predetermined by military regulations, regardless of their individual psychological characteristics, professional preparedness, and moral qualities. The ship commander has the right to give an order to the warhead commander of his ship. The commander of the warhead is obligated to fulfill this order in accordance with the charter “implicitly, precisely and on time”, despite the fact that he personally may treat his immediate superior ambiguously.

It should be borne in mind that in the military team at the same time there are several overlapping structures of formal relations. The leading ones were considered above - service ones. But others also belong to the formal ones - all of which are defined by the relevant regulatory acts (instructions, rules, regulations, etc.). For example, the same military personnel during sports competitions are also in a system of formal relations that determine the need to obey the relevant rules of the game, the judge. In its own way, relations are formalized within public organizations operating in military groups (we are talking about those organizations whose action is permitted by laws, charters, orders and directives of the RF Ministry of Defense).

Secondly, this is an informal (informal) relationship.
They are formed as a system of interpersonal preferences, likes and dislikes, respect and hostility. In other words,

features of warriors and are sometimes called internal. It is important to emphasize that the features of informal relations largely depend on the value orientations of soldiers, their mutual understanding and mutual perception.

It should be borne in mind that formal relationships play a decisive role in the military team in the formation of the entire system of interpersonal relations. Their structure in the unit is quite stable. At the same time, informal relations are very dynamic and always change due to, for example, the arrival of new military personnel. The nature of informal relations between the same military personnel in the process of their joint military service and all other activities is also subject to rapid changes.

A feature of the relationship in military collectives is also the fact that it includes several categories of military personnel that are clearly expressed in terms of their socio-psychological parameters. These are officers, midshipmen (warrant officers), conscription and contract servicemen, women military men. Their socio-psychological characteristics are reflected in the content and nature of the relationship.
