PROBLEMS OF METHODOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF MILITARY-PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCH

In order to gain the ability to military-psychological knowledge, it is far from enough to have an interest in him. It is necessary, having plunged into the inexhaustible ocean of psychological thought, to feel its originality, features, orientation, conditionality and nature of development. The “World of Psychology” has been formed over millennia and therefore the process of its formation is far from random, not anomalous, but regular, based on the development factors of the entire set of spheres of human civilization's life. This world has a rather complicated language for everyday perception, its own system of laws, principles, categories and concepts, includes a huge collection of ideas put forward by thinkers of different times and peoples.
This fully applies to the evolution of military-psychological knowledge of the past and the present, because, as historians emphasize, there were practically no “absolutely peaceful days” in the life of our civilization.

To navigate this turbulent and truly inexhaustible stream of military-psychological thought, a means is needed that would help familiarize oneself with its theories, concepts, and ideas, and highlight in them the most valuable for the theoretical and practical activities of a military researcher. One of such tools may be a methodological analysis of military psychological research.

The need to possess the means of methodological analysis, some of the problems of which are reflected in the previous chapter, becomes obvious. The origin and development of Russian military psychology is a non-linear, uneven process, accompanied by continuous quantitative changes, qualitative leaps, the constant struggle of conservative and innovative trends, materialistic and idealistic approaches. The psyche is a twisted universe. The system of military psychological phenomena that arise in conditions of military life is so diverse that an attempt to study everything will inevitably lead to the fact that nothing will be thoroughly studied. An essential characteristic of the problem of determining the subject area of military psychology is that the number of tasks important for the development of science
  7. The problem of choosing the subject of military psychological research
A typical mistake made by a military psychologist when choosing a VPI is that at first the topic of the dissertation, diploma, term paper is often determined, and on this basis the research problem is formulated. This choice of problem has far-reaching negative consequences. By definition, B.F. Lomova, the backbone factor of the activity is the motive-goal vector. If the military

The modern development of military psychological research is characterized by profound changes and new trends, not only in their dynamics, but also in the comprehension of their results, which serve simultaneously as a source base for further scientific research. 9. The situation as a unit of analysis of military-psychological phenomena
One of the most complex and important methodological problems of creating a good empirical basis for VPI is the problem of choosing the unit of analysis for VPJ. The success of the study of VPJ essentially depends on how systematically it will be possible to “isolate” the phenomenon as a whole or its structural or functional component from the life of the military personnel and military personnel. In military psychology when studying
  10. The problem of conceptual schemes of a systematic description of military-psychological phenomena
The complexity of military-psychological phenomena necessarily requires the use of a systematic approach in the interests of their study. On the basis of system analysis, systems of concepts describing VPJ can be developed. The principle of a systematic approach involves: considering the phenomenon under study as a system, that is, as a delimited set of interacting elements; determination of composition
  11. PSYCHOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF MILITARY LIFE OF TROOPS AND METHODS OF ITS OPTIMIZATION
War is not only a combination of fierce clashes with the enemy, mortal danger and greatness of heroic deed, the constant work of the minds of commanders and the dedicated initiative of the fighters. In this regard, as the studies show, many representatives of military psychological science and practice have illusory ideas about the so-called

The military psychologist in his practical activities uses certain methods to achieve his goal. The methods of organizing our own activities are characteristic of any specialist, but in everyday life we rarely think about how they arise, how much and why they are adequate to what we want to do, whether they can be recommended to others. This problem reflects the implementation by military psychologists of the most important principle of psychology - the principle of the unity of theory, experiment and practice, the significance of which is shown by B.F.
