Training questions:

1. The influence of socio-psychological, psychological, psychoergonomic factors on the fighting of personnel.

2. Features and Psychological features of the combat operations of the personnel of units of the ground forces in local military conflicts.

1. The influence of socio-psychological, psychological, psychoergonomic factors on the fighting of personnel.

The basis of socio-psychological characteristics are the significant differences between military conflict and war, manifested in the political, economic, legal and ideological spheres of society. The war, as you know, is the result of the manifestation of contradictions between states insoluble by conventional means. In it, the warring parties pursue the most decisive political goals. In this case, it is largely about the fate of the state, its status in the world, the well-being of citizens, and the preservation of power by the current political forces.

An analysis of the psychological aspects of the first and second world wars shows that with the beginning of military events of this kind, the substantial and dynamic characteristics of society in all warring states are fundamentally changing. Powerful “tectonic” shifts occur in the bowels of the social organism: the economy is being rebuilt in a military fashion; the content and mode of activity of most state institutions are changing; a system of legal acts is being introduced to increase the responsibility and organization of people, the whole range of scientific research is being reoriented, diplomatic efforts are being made to find allies and prevent the enemy from having such. In essence, the countdown of a new social time begins. Social structures, a system of statuses and roles, type of motivation and social control are undergoing radical changes. The social status of people who are somehow involved in the armed defense of the interests of the state is growing immeasurably. The process of socialization, which proceeds under the conditions of the operation of norms (laws, rules, rights, obligations, responsibilities) of a belligerent state, becomes qualitatively different. The social position of a person, his role in the social process is determined by his attitude to war, the interests of a belligerent state. The nature of the relationship between large and small social groups is largely determined by the need to achieve victory over the enemy (129).
The state has an urgent need for firm governance, decisive suppression of the opposition’s actions, and the cessation of internal strife between various political and social clans. All this creates very favorable conditions for the rapid formation and bringing into the consciousness of people of an integral system of nationwide political ideas, values, and guidelines that contribute to the consolidation of society, arousing in citizens a feeling of patriotism, hatred of the enemy, and readiness to actively and selflessly resist it

2. Features of motivation and mental states of participants in local military conflicts.

The socio-psychological, psychoergonomic and tactical-psychological features of the military conflict determine the specific motivation of military operations of military personnel, the uniqueness of their mental states and the psychological consequences of participating in combat activities.

The historian teaches that in armed events of the “war” type, broad social motives are crucial for ensuring active military operations of military personnel. At the beginning of the 20th century, NN Golovin emphasized that all victorious wars contained ideas close to the heart of a fighter, and “the basis of a fighter’s striving for victory lies in social motives” (73, 51). Therefore, among the motivations that should be developed in wars, he primarily called patriotism, which constitutes the “foundation of a soldier’s victorious pursuit.” MI indicates the decisive role of broad social motives in the motivation system of war participants. Dyachenko (95, 97), MP. Korobeinikov (160; 161), AM Stolyarenko (312) and others. Thus, MI Dyachenko notes that “the activity of combat activity is ensured primarily by broad social and positive situational motives. A special place is occupied by motives due to the relationship of the soldiers and the content of the combat mission” ( 97, 32-33). Thus, he builds a peculiar hierarchy of motivations, in which broad social motives are in the first place, positive situational motives in the second, collectivism motives in the third. And such a position is supported by materials of large-scale studies of military operations of troops during the years of World War II.
