Where do toxins come from?


The results of the research indicate that in every modern person in the body in measurable quantities there are several hundred synthetic chemicals. These contaminants did not exist until the beginning of the twentieth century and played no part in the chemistry of the body. It can be safely assumed that we are all burdened by a toxic burden as a result of the action of synthetic substances - pesticides, phthalates (a chemical used in the industry for plastic and cosmetic production - Ed.), Mercury, trans fats, benzene. Exotoxins have names that are scary enough to cause people to avoid them. Today it is already well known that what we do not know is capable of harming us.
To understand how we are exposed to toxins, we need to imagine four layers separating our internal chemistry from the rest of the universe, as if we had four shells.
FIRST SHELL
The first shell is what separates our blood, tissues, organs from the external world; this is the extreme line of our physical body, the outer layer of cells. To the unaided eye, it can seem like a reliable barrier and a means of isolation, even protection. But under the microscope, the fallibility of this impression becomes obvious, since the first shell is in constant motion, choosing that from the environment it is necessary to reject and what to seize and absorb. It also throws out what's inside no longer needed. The first shell contains cells of two types, forming the integument of the body, depending on their location.
Epithelial cells. Epithelial cells (dry, hard) are visible under the magnifying glass. They form what we usually call skin. When this part of our first shell gets sick, we go to the dermatologist. The main source of toxins that penetrate the body through the skin are the cosmetic and hygiene products we use. Watch for what you rub into your skin or splash on it. Do you read the labels on the labels? It is necessary to perceive cosmetics as food.
Ideally, you need to use a means that are safe when they get into the mouth and then into the digestive tract, because, like food, they subsequently enter the bloodstream. Choosing these funds, should be guided by the composition rather than the promised effect. This information is not a secret.

They are capable of causing irritation, allergy and hypersensitivity in the same way as food products. A group of chemicals that make up hair care and skin care products, called "parabens," causes disruption in the endocrine system. Many deodorants contain aluminum, which prevents sweating. It causes double damage: promotes the penetration of chemicals into the body and clogs pores that are designed to remove toxins.
The water we water ourselves in the shower is absorbed by the skin and enters the circulatory system, just like the water we drink. A significant part of the tap water contains chlorine,
which disinfects it, preventing the multiplication of pathogenic bacteria. However, along with pathogenic bacteria, this water kills the intestinal microflora. The results of recent studies indicate that tap water contains increasingly noticeable concentrations of drugs, such as antidepressants, antibiotics, hormones and immunosuppressants.
In addition, the skin contacts the air of the environment, and the toxins contained in it affect the cells of the first shell belonging to the second type.

Mucous cells. Mucous cells (moist, soft) form the walls of the first shell in areas not accessible to the eye without the use of medical instruments. Many of my patients believe that these zones belong to the internal parts of the body, but technically this type of the first shell is separated from the inner parts in the same way as the epidermis.
When we inhale, air passes through the trachea and bronchi and gets on the walls of the alveoli, where the mucous cells quickly absorb oxygen, because it is a very valuable product. You probably know about airborne toxins, such as exhaust and production gases and tobacco smoke, but did you ever think that it would be much more dangerous to have a pair of hairspray?

Of all the first shells, the largest and most active is the inner lining of the digestive tract. To date, this is the most vulnerable place for toxins. Chemicals penetrate the circulatory system through the mouth. In the not so distant past, dental fillings of silver amalgam were often made with the addition of mercury. It took years before it seeped into the blood. Toothpastes, rinses, sprays for removing halitosis and other oral hygiene products also contain toxic substances.

The intestine, which is an eight-meter tube that connects the stomach to the anus, consists of two parts. The small intestine is about 6.5 meters long and 4 cm in diameter. The large intestine is wider, but shorter (about 1.5 m). When food enters the digestive tract, it breaks down into small parts and is absorbed by the cells that form the inner walls of the intestine. The surface of these walls has folds, which serve to optimize the absorption of nutrients. If you open and fully deploy the tube of the intestine, its surface will cover the tennis court.
They say that a person who lives for 80 years digests 25 tons of food during his life. Obviously, food is vital as a source of toxins that enter the body through the first shell. The related problems will be discussed in detail in the next chapter.
Modern medicines do more harm than good. They are not only toxic substances themselves, but also as a side effect contribute to reducing the body's ability to absorb nutrients.
Along with food, the walls of the intestine absorb the drugs taken. I watch daily how conventional drugs have a negative effect on patients. Beta-blockers, designed to help with cardiac arrhythmia and hypertension, interfere with the body's absorption of coenzyme Q (necessary to maintain cardiac activity, normal blood pressure, energy level). Statins, designed to lower cholesterol, disrupt the assimilation of the same coenzyme Q, calcium (necessary for regulating the strength of bones, blood coagulability and stiffness of cells) and beta-carotene (improving vision and strengthening immunity). Oral contraceptives disrupt the absorption of B2 vitamins (necessary to improve vision, optimize nervous system and skin health), B6 ​​(helping to avoid depression, cardiovascular diseases and insomnia), B (prevents anemia and weakness) and zinc (which helps strengthen the immune system, improvement of smell and taste).

SECOND SHELL
The second shell, I call the layer, located directly on top of the epidermis. It includes clothes and everything that we use to clean it, process it and stain it.
