Overcoming hunger


Overcoming hunger is part of quantum detoxification. When the diet for one reason or another is reduced, the problem of hunger inevitably arises. Some people are so scared about the prospect of malnutrition that they do not even dare to start a detoxification program. In fact, this problem, as a rule, exists only in the mind. If necessary, the body can do without food for a long time; it adapts quite easily to changes in the diet. The cessation of the digestive process has such a beneficial effect on him that if everything depended solely on the body, there would be no problem at all. But consciousness can persistently resist until, after several days of the program, it does not understand that it is possible to function normally and feel good, receiving two liquid dishes or juice and one solid dish per day.
The study of the concept called "hunger" will help you get rid of many illusions and misconceptions about nutrition. Perhaps you eat too much and are overweight. You may not eat what you need, and because of this your mental and physical health suffers, but you lack self-discipline to change the diet. Alternatively, nutrition plays a more important role in your life than simply satisfying your physiological needs. Almost everyone in one way or another uses food not only as building materials for the body. You have a chance to understand what function nutrition does in your life in fact.
When the feeling of hunger creeps into your body in the afternoon or evening, ask yourself what in reality means to be hungry. Can you answer this question? Have you ever been really hungry? Have you ever really "died of hunger" - as we usually say to friends, meaning that we would like to eat right now? Probably not.
The physical sensation you define as "hunger" and encourages you to eat, as soon as you experience it, may not have anything to do with the actual calorie requirement of the body. Most likely, if you do not do anything and see what happens next, this feeling will disappear after a few minutes. How many times has this happened to you? You are sitting behind the wheel of a car, and suddenly you have a feeling of hunger. You are absolutely sure that you need to have a snack immediately. But next to there is not a single cafe, and you continue the trip. After 20 minutes, when the first filling station appears on the horizon, it turns out that you have already forgotten about your hunger. Consciousness reigned in peace and the body is ready to function further. Knowing that this happens naturally will help you with the program.
If the resulting feeling of hunger is mild or moderate, slowly drink a glass of water. Often this helps to mute the hunger until the mind calms down. If the sensation is so strong that it does not give you rest, try the following exercise. Ask yourself a few questions:
1. What do I feel right now?
2. Where is what I call hunger: in the stomach, intestines, chest, heart? Where is this sensation?
3. What is this feeling? Each has its own description of the sensory experience, which they call "hunger." Feel it, observe it and try to reveal its properties. Is it hot or cold sensation, is it perceived as pain or pressure, fixed or wandering, does it wave or is it permanent?
Asking yourself these questions, you focus attention on this physical sensation, literally flashing it to better view. Probably, you will understand that this sensation is not a cry of an organism that requires nutrients. In fact, it can be a completely different need, which has nothing to do with food: the need for a company, communication, forgiveness, knowledge, the implementation of design or security. Having understood this, you, probably, decide not to fill the stomach and wait for another meal, provided by the program. You can also do something to distract yourself (for example, call a friend or do something). Sometimes in this situation it is enough to walk. You were "hungry" because of lack of stimulation or change, and this does not come with eating or drinking.
Now think how we satisfy hunger. Sometimes we are so busy that we are reflexively reaching for food, when in reality we absolutely do not need it. Sometimes the sudden feeling of hunger causes discomfort, and we want to get rid of it by any means. Or we miss, and we have nothing to occupy ourselves, except for eating. My patients often say that they have learned to live with hunger instead of immediately quenching it, and this skill is an extremely effective tool. Breaking this nut, you will have the ability to control the quality, quantity and time of food intake needed to fully meet the needs of your body.
