Weighted analysis of separate nutrition (indications and contraindications for the use of separate nutrition)

It is easy to see, by virtue of the Russian mental, and thanks to our unsettled and wretched life, to criticize the theory of separate feeding is sheer pleasure. In fact, any of the conceptual provisions of separate nutrition for us, Russians, is either unacceptable or causes protest. We cannot, indeed, give up potatoes with mushrooms, ravioli with sour cream, pasta with meatballs, sour cabbage soup with pork and potatoes, not to mention not eating bread or drinking milk and not "eliminating" on holidays in quantities of incredible pies with cabbage, potato mint, onions, mushrooms, meat, rice and egg. Is the Russian soul will endure such that on a holiday not to drink a sweet vodka and not to have a snack on it with a pickled cabbage with crunch, pimply salted cucumber or marinated vigorous mushroom? And after the bathhouse ?! Yes, so as not to drink cold kvasku or beer from a misted bottle? Take away all this from us, so it seems, after this, that there is nothing for a Russian to be born of. And you will be in Russia a holy, izbana, bed-and-butter polbreggi alone, sheltons and birberbenners. What then becomes with the mysterious Russian soul? There is nothing left of her then. And in its place will be only one theory of separate power.
All this, of course, is so or almost so. And it would seem that the arguments and arguments of the dividers are not difficult to overturn, if not a trifling matter, consisting in the fact that Herbert Shelton lived for nearly a hundred years, as well as other luminary and ancestor of the theory of separate feeding Howard Lewis Hey also lived 100 years.
But in this case, longevity is a very interesting and revealing episode. At 42, a well-known practitioner, Howard Hay, who graduated from Harvard University, fell ill with a terrible and incurable kidney disease.
After receiving many consultations from the most qualified specialists in the field of kidney neuropathology (the opinion was unequivocal - the disease was incurable), Hay switched to separate nutrition and managed for eight months not only to completely restore his lost health, but also to acquire new physical and spiritual qualities that allow him to live long and happy life, while doing the great scientific and practical work of a naturopathic doctor. Is it necessary to criticize indiscriminately food indiscriminately if there are similar precedents in its arsenal? It seems to me that in this case there is something to think about. And do not be like the majority of critics, so deftly and categorically imposing a ruthless sentence to separate food. So, for example, at one of the famous Soviet nutritionists, I came across the following damning argument: "At the time of Shelton, modern science did not exist yet, in essence, there was no biochemistry, I. P. Pavlov had not yet discovered his laws in the field of physiology of digestion “Very little was known about the enzymes; in short, neither Shelton nor his contemporaries knew the basic laws of the science of nutrition.”
This is especially surprising because another author, a well-known doctor and scientist, at the peak of the first one, on the contrary, accuses Shelton of practically using - without reference to authorship, the discovery of academician, Nobel Prize in physiology, I. P. Pavlov in that different proteins when released into the body are broken down by different acids, thanks to the preliminary work of the brain that evaluates food.
So which of the two of them better understand the problems of separate feeding? Both worse! The first one is obviously not right; it is worth remembering that the famous American physiologist and doctor Herbert Shelton was born in 1895, at the very time when Ivan Petrovich was experimenting with his dogs. As for the second statement about Shelton's plagiarism regarding the discoveries of I.P.Pavlov, such an accusation can hardly be considered as convincing because the teachings of Shelton stem not from the work on the physiology of digestion of the Nobel laureate, but from much earlier works of the Swiss physiologist and nutritionist Max Bircher-Benner and American doctor Howard Lewis Hay. It should be noted that neither the one nor the other experimented on animals, and due to the prevailing circumstances they carried out full-scale scientific experiments on the introduction of the theory and practice of separate feeding in the middle of the XIX century on themselves, the result of which was an amazing longevity of the experimenters themselves.
So what is the secret, or rather, the rational grain of separate nutrition? Most likely, as I see it, it lies in the fact that separate nutrition is one of the special cases of clinical nutrition. Successfully used, it, as history has shown, can heal serious diseases that could not be cured by any other means known at the time to medicine.
Let us try as a visual example to examine the case history and, at first glance, the incredible recovery of the author of separate nutrition, Howard Hay. It is reliably known that at the age of 42 he was diagnosed with glomerulonephritis with severe renal failure, accompanied by significant weight loss (in Hay, it was more than 50 kg). What in this situation makes the future naturopath practically condemned by the luminaries of medicine to death?
He dramatically changes the usual system of his power. Excludes bread, milk, many meat products and goes to separate eating protein and carbohydrate foods. It also completely eliminates animal fats from its diet. And here it is quite appropriate to ask the question: why is it that a certified doctor suddenly uses the paradoxical and seemingly murderous solution in this case, in spite of the usual practice of treating such diseases? Living from hand to mouth with such a severe disease, when, according to all the canons of the then medicine, he was prescribed, on the contrary, an enhanced, mainly protein-based diet.
Where did this idea come from? And what is it connected with?
And it is connected with the story told to him by a friend, Colonel and Military Doctor Mac - Marren, who returned from a long expedition to Tibet. In the 50s of the XIX century, Colonel Mac - Marren in his official duties spent a long time in Tibet in communication with the Hunza tribe unknown to science.
According to Mac-Marren, it turned out that there are people in the world who are able to live happily, enjoying perfect health and practically without eating meat. This Huns tribe living in the Himalayas, for them the age of 120 years is an ordinary phenomenon. Studying a unique tribe, the military doctor was amazed not only by the beauty and harmony of these people, but also by their performance, which is a consequence of their absolute health, which lasts until a very old age.
“This tribe lives in a mountainous area where there is almost no fertile soil,” MacMarren wrote to his friend G.L. Hey. “The cultivated land constantly suffers from water shortage. The Hunzian cows are hardly larger than St. Bernards, milk is less than two liters a day - they give only after calving, sheep and goats - and even less. The meat of these animals is wiry and completely fat-free. People live from hand to mouth, especially during the winter months. At this time they lead an extremely vegetarian lifestyle, feeding on scanty grain stocks. go to the foothills th food and collect herbs until it is time to harvest the first crop. "
Hunza practically do not eat meat and do not drink milk. They bake bread from wheat and barley with bran. Such bread is a source not only of proteins, but also of mineral salts. They eat rice unpeeled, and after all in its peel - a lot of vitamin B, potatoes use together with a peel. With pleasure they eat beans and all sorts of greens, up to the usual grass. But the basis of their nutrition are fruits, fresh and dried. Apples and apricots are eaten with seeds, and these fruits in their diet mean more than bread. "The Huns' nerves are strong, like ropes, and the heart is gentle and responsive," these moral qualities, according to Mac Marren, are the result of the excellent physical health of the Huns.
The law of longevity of the Huns, which Hay derived from this whole story for himself, was that physical health is gained only in the state of minimal protein load on the excretory system of the human body, the main structure of which is the kidneys.
The conclusion was immediately verified in practice. The result exceeded all expectations. And in a relatively short time, the dying patient turned into a blooming man. Let's try to consider the mechanism of Howard Lewis Hay’s miraculous self-healing. To do this, first of all, it is necessary to imagine the condition of the patient with glomerulonephritis, burdened by the same renal failure. A distinctive feature of glomerulonephritis is inflammation of the nephrons - the main structural elements of the kidneys, which remove nitrogenous compounds from the body. And we well know that their accumulation in the blood leads to irreversible poisoning of the patient with nitrogen, resulting in death from renal failure.
We also understood well that the main nitrogenous products are primarily meat, fish, cottage cheese, milk and a number of plant products (beans, soybeans, beans). The more we eat them, the higher the blood content of nitrogenous compounds (urea, creatinine, ammonia, etc.) and the stronger the poisoning of our body with these substances.
Inflamed glomeruli of the kidneys, the main purpose of which is to filter the liquid, excreting urine from the blood, become empty and cease to perform its function. Gradually, the tubules, another component of the nephron, are drawn into the process of inflammation, resulting in deterioration of reabsorption — secondary absorption of water, resulting in enormous loss of nutrients by the body. It also worsens the work of the secretory cells of the tubules associated with the release into the lumen of the tubules of a number of chemicals, in particular glucose and pigments (dyes).
Thus, all substances received as a result of digestion into the blood: nitrogen-containing, excess sugars, dyes, etc., are not excreted by the kidneys from the blood, but accumulate in the internal environment of the body and become the hardest poisons.
What conclusion can be drawn from this? Only one. In case of such a disease, it is necessary to sharply limit the consumption of food products that contain an excessive amount of purine bases, that is, animal proteins and to a lesser extent of plant origin. What he did, to his great happiness, Howard Hay. I am absolutely sure that the exclusion of animal proteins from his daily diet Hay did, of course, not on the basis of the deterministic model of poisoning of the body with nitrogen we considered, because at that time medical science did not have such information. The packages made by Khey were based exclusively on the moral and ethical perception of factors conducive to the health of the Hunza tribe.
In this case, it is safe to say that the providence favored Hey. And could it be different? Unfortunately, I must confess that, as in many other cases, things could be different.
And since the circumstances in which the separation of food other than disaster can not bring anything else - the vast majority, I propose to consider only those cases where it helps. And it is best to do this in accordance with the main positions of separate nutrition, set out in the chapter "Separate nutrition postulates" (The position numbers in the chapter "Separate nutrition postulates" correspond to the numbers of the considered therapeutic feeding options).

Weighted analysis of separate nutrition (indications and contraindications for the use of separate nutrition)

  1. Separate meals
It is impossible to say that when you separate food, everything is so simple and you can eat as you like, without bothering yourself with the rules. There are a lot of rules here. But they are completely justified. Nutritionists have long agreed that separate meals help us to systematize meals and not to eat everything in unimaginable combinations. The basic principle of separate feeding is to clearly
  2. Separate meals
I was invited in the 88th summer to the city of Khabarovsk. And it was getting dark late there, and in the first lesson they did not want to disperse: “Well, Vladimir Georgievich, well, give some task. Well, today, give us a task. ” I say, okay, write everything on a piece of paper and give definitions-answers at home: What is absolute alcohol? What is alcoholic beverages? What is medical fasting? What
  3. Separate Power Technology
Based on proven natural science, physiological and biological research, in the theory of separate feeding the following basic technological methods were developed. 1. Elimination of all harmful: - rejection of toxic stimulants (alcohol, smoking, spicy spices); - all-round decrease in the amount of proteins in food (meat, eggs, cheese, mushrooms,
  4. Banal criticism of separate power
The system of separate nutrition of the American nutritionist Herbert Shelton, which has become quite widespread, strictly regulates the compatibility and incompatibility of food. Such requirements are substantiated by the alleged inability of the human gastrointestinal tract to simultaneously digest proteins of meat and fish with polysaccharides of bakery products and second cereal dishes, and
  5. Separate Power Postulates
The essence of a separate food is that certain products should not be consumed with each other at the same time. Some products are fully digested only in an acidic environment, others - in alkaline. The whole secret is to know which food elements can be taken at one time and which ones can not. Based on this, the following rules of nutrition are proposed in the theory of separate nutrition.
  6. Energy basis of separate power
One of the most important arguments in favor of separate nutrition is the concept of "living" energy, developed in the second half of the 19th century by the Swiss Max Bircher-Benner, according to which the biological value of products is determined not by their caloric value, but primarily by the ability to increase the charge of vitality in the body. In this case, plant preference should be given.
  7. SPLIT POWER
    SPLIT
  8. The chemical basis of the separate food system
One of the main provisions of the separate nutrition is the balance of the products consumed by the chemical reaction and the preservation of the acid-base balance necessary for the vital activity of the organism due to the food taken. Now it is already known that acids and alkalis enter the internal environment of the body in two ways: through food and due to their formation in the process of metabolism. AT
  9. The physiology of digestion from the standpoint of separate nutrition
As you know, the process of digestion begins with the crushing of food in the mouth. The enzyme ptyalin present in saliva breaks down starch into maltose (complex sugar). It acts only in an alkaline environment. However, if we consume different starches, the effect of ptyalin is terminated. This means that starch enters the stomach and the small intestine is slightly split, almost undigested. Act
  10. In what cases separate food should be considered as therapeutic.
    1. When food acids contained in acidic fruits should not be taken simultaneously with products containing starch: bread, cereals, potatoes, pasta, etc.? “When” is only the first part of the question that needs to be answered. The second part is why. And with him, it is probably easier to start considering this fundamental rule of separate feeding.
  11. Indications and contraindications to the use of regional anesthesia
Indications. 1. With the mass admission of patients and a limited contingent of anesthesiologists (all types of regional anesthesia, excluding spinal and epidural anesthesia). 2. In outpatient practice in case of impossibility of postoperative observation of patients (all types of regional anesthesia, excluding spinal and epidural anesthesia). 3. When conducting
  12. Lumba? Lny proposal? Diagnostic and therapeutic value. Indications and contraindications
Lumbar punch (Novolat. Lumbar puncture, spinal puncture, lumbar puncture, lumbar puncture) - insertion of a needle into the subarachnoid space of the spinal cord at the lumbar level. Conducted to diagnose the composition of the cerebrospinal fluid, as well as for medical or anesthetic purposes. Lumbar puncture as a diagnostic method. It is one of the widely used
  13. Separate rearing of broiler goslings
Tyumaeva E.A. Scientific adviser: Matrosova Yu.V. candidate s.-kh. Sci., Associate Professor of the Department of Small Livestock and Horse Breeding, Ural State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Troitsk. Relevance of the topic. Currently, the poultry industry of the country has all the opportunities to fully provide the population with dietary food of domestic production. One of
  14. Fused and separate writing
Here is another example. This is how writer Rostislav Krivitsky "saw" "New rules for the Russian language." (Today, when the language is ridiculously trying to reform, it is very important). We present, of course, only fragments: §1. The fluent and separate spelling of the words “in FIG” and nefig The word ”FIG” in Russian can be used both with the preposition ”on” and with non-separable
  15. Nutrition as a factor in the preservation and promotion of health. Physiological norms of nutrition. The value of the individual components of food in human nutrition. The value of proteins in human nutrition, their norms and sources of entry into the body
Nutrition is one of the most active and important environmental factors, which has a variety of effects on the human body, ensures its growth, development, preservation of health, disability and optimal life expectancy. All this is provided by a daily, regulated meal with a certain set of foods. Foods are complex
  16. Stage 2. Discussion “Separate by sex training:“ for ”and“ against ”
After listening to and discussing the reports, the teacher invites students to split into two groups and discuss their opinions about this type of school, where boys and girls study separately from each other. In one group are united those students who support this type of educational institutions, in the other - those who deny this form of education. Each group prepares
  17. ERRORS AND COMPLICATIONS. INDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
It should be noted that this technology is designed specifically for severely ill patients. The techniques described above only resemble those of classical manual therapy, but at the same time they do not completely coincide with it either in the technique of execution, or in terms of the adequacy criteria, or in the anatomomorphological substrate, which the physician acts on. The known techniques of manual therapy are well laid out in the manuals.
  18. Sanitary control over the use of pesticides and their residues in food
In the implementation of the current sanitary inspection for the protection of food products from contamination by pesticides should be guided by "Sanitary rules for the storage, transportation and use of pesticides (toxic chemicals) in agriculture" (No. 1123-73), other guidance, regulatory and guidance materials (see Order of the Ministry of Health of the USSR, No. 874 from
  19. INDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR CONDUCTING CPR
Revitalization is justified when it is possible not only the restoration of lost functions, but also the return of a person to life as a person. Therefore, in almost all cases of acute ARF and circulatory disorders, it is necessary to proceed with CPR and only further to clarify its perspectivity and prognosis. Contraindications for resuscitation: - terminal stage of incurable
  20. Individual indications and contraindications for physical exertion
    INDICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL TRAINING? Risk factors: low physical activity, arterial hypertension (mild and labile form), hypercholesterolemia, overweight; ? Vegetovascular dystonia, hypotension, dyshormonal myocardial dystrophy; ? Angina I-III functional class; ? Type II diabetes mellitus (insulin-independent) in the compensation stage;
