Twisting the lung

Twisting of the lung is a rare result of severe chest injuries that cause the lung to rotate around the root. The x-ray picture is mirror with respect to the normal location of the bronchi, with the main pulmonary vessels directed more toward the head than down. Due to overfilling of blood vessels, edema and atelectasis in the affected lung, the corresponding half of the diaphragm is visible through a clouded glass. To avoid a heart attack or gangrene, the twisting of the lung must be corrected surgically.

Twisting the lung

  1. What is a "Drudle" and "what eat it"
What is it? Yes, very simple; droodle is a doodle riddle (or riddle doodle, if you like), which can be translated as a "mysterious stupid picture." Translate better if you can. Their inventor, writer Roger Price, published his first Drudle in the 50s. In a short time, their popularity reached incredible sizes, they became the theme of fashionable American
  2. "HISTORY OF LAUGHTER" - SUCH A SCIENCE DOES NOT EXIST. IT'S A PITY!
History teaches us what mistakes we have to make. Lawrence Peter In this chapter ... · Laughter in the Ancient World · "Laughter Culture" of the Middle Ages · Laughter in
  3. Ideal creative strategy: the concept of "maximum upward movement" and a list of current developments
Scheme of an ideal creative strategy 1. Creative developments can be carried out at three levels: 1) solution of a specific technical problem (for example, improvement of electrostatic precipitators used in cement production); 2) solution of a general technical (or general scientific) problem (dust-free production of dusty substances); 3) the solution of the socio-technical (or socio-scientific) complex of problems
  4. Commentary on the theory of "living" energy
This concept of nutrition has been known for a long time and is interesting in that its supporters are convinced that there is some special “living” energy in the human body. And it is transmitted through some substances, structures, but so far they have not been able to “materialize” in any way. In particular, it is assumed that the calorie deficiency in the body is compensated by its own energy resources. Where from
  5. What does it mean to see a psychiatrist?
“Turning to a psychiatrist” means turning to a doctor who specializes in the study of human emotions. A psychiatrist can help a person become happier, work better, and better deal with themselves, surrounding people, and circumstances. A psychoanalyst is a psychiatrist specializing in one type of psychiatric treatment, namely psychoanalysis, the subject of which, as we
  6. Superorganism design, "komplikatobiont"
In ecomorphology, living systems are usually classified according to the level of organization and hierarchical subordination into categories: organism and superorganism. Organizational level is recognized as primary and primary; the supraorganism is considered to be derived from it and characterizes populations, colonies, and ecosystems. This view is based on the assumption that organisms have their own centralized program.
  7. Prevention and treatment of "cytokine-induced" vasculitis
To reduce the damaging effect of inflammatory mediators on the capillary endothelium already in the first hours of treatment it is shown: 1. The use of glucocorticoids that inhibit the activity of phospholipase A, which reduces the formation of arachidonic acid from phospholipids of cell membranes damaged by hypoxia. Dosadexazone is 40-60 mg, for prednisone - 300-450 mg per day in a decreasing dose over
  8. Breast rejection: baby says no
Let’s try to imagine what will happen if a cub of a mammal, for example, a bear, elephant, gorilla, suddenly takes and decides to suck mom? The answer is simple: in vivo, such a baby will not survive. Therefore, he does not suck his mother in only two cases: either he is weak and unviable, or trouble happened with his mother, and his mother is no more. In all other cases, the baby sucks mom. So
  9. Specific problems of the "supportive" stage of treatment
Good interaction between the patient and the respirator can be disrupted by malfunctions in the ventilator system system, which worsen cardiopulmonary mechanics, or by factors completely unrelated to ventilation. 1 Increased resistance in the open state of the PDKV valve is not its fundamental property {Note. per.). Damage to the apparatus disrupts adequate ventilation or oxygenation and usually
  10. Long-term complications of excommunication and repeated intubation
Within 24-48 hours immediately after disconnecting the respirator, the patient's condition can repeatedly change, because he must adapt to spontaneous breathing and independently evacuate the secret from the respiratory tract. The causes of stress that occurs shortly after extubation may be myocardial ischemia, congestion in the lungs, atelectasis, secretion retention, oropharyngeal
  11. How to cure an addict?
It is easiest to cure an “addicted” person in the world under one condition: to find something that interests him more than the subject on which he is dependent. You can cure any alcoholic if you can find something that interests him more than alcohol. So far, no one has been able to find a substitute suitable for all cases. Most importantly, the alcoholic is rarely with someone in
  12. Trample syndrome
Scope of the examination 1. Occurs in extreme situations with a large concentration of people and panic among them. 2. Development mechanism: capsizing and trampling of children by the crowd. 3. Leading in the clinic are polytrauma of varying severity and mechanical asphyxia due to prolonged (10-I5 minutes) intermittent compression of the chest. 4. Complaints are polymorphic, depending on
  13. Ventilation-induced pulmonary edema, lung damage, and “volume trauma” (volume trauma)
Pathogenesis Even in the absence of an alveolar rupture, the use of excessive regional volumes undoubtedly damages the alveoli, regardless of whether the introduction of such volumes is caused by positive or negative pressure. Patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome appear to be at the highest risk: the prevalence of barotrauma in these conditions can exceed 50%. At
  14. About the "serum of truth."
At all times, various medications have been used to relax the emotional blockade and give people the opportunity to feel and speak more freely. Now, as a result of military experience, psychiatrists have begun to use two new drugs in some cases: in America, usually the sodium aminal (barbamil) is used, which is often prescribed for oral administration in the form of sleeping pills; in England, many
  15. “Laughter Culture” of the Middle Ages
Then everything collapsed. On the ruins of antiquity choked with laughter, the Middle Ages reigned with its strict hierarchy of values. At that time, to laugh at God or at the king was literally deadly. Stray buffoons were somehow allowed to ridicule human vices with the invariable "triumph of virtue" at the end. In the image of medieval theologians, laughter invariably
  16. DAY THIRD - CINDERELLA
From this day you start drinking hot water in the morning. Throughout the Program in the morning on an empty stomach a glass of hot ox without everything. So we will start with you a mechanism for correcting metabolism. The water temperature should be comfortable - but not cool. I will call this water “boiling water” in the text, but this does not mean that you pour boiling liquid directly into your mouth. You can boiled water, and heated in
  17. Uterine Curl (torsio uteri)
This is the rotation of the pregnant uterus or its horn around the longitudinal axis 180 °, 360 ° or more. More often this complication occurs in cows, sheep, goats and carnivores. Etiology. The immediate causes of uterine twisting are sharp and fast movements of a pregnant animal, turns, bumps and shocks applied to the abdominal wall, grazing cows on the steep slopes of mountainous terrain. Predisposing factor
