The task of veterinary toxicology also includes the development of methods for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of animal poisoning; establishment of the maximum permissible levels of residual quantities (MRLs) of pesticides and other toxic substances in feed and food products and methods for their analysis and conducting on this basis a veterinary and sanitary assessment of livestock products and feed.
