The guide presents materials on the history and development of otolaryngology. In the first section, from the standpoint of the clinic, the anatomical, physiological and functional features of the upper respiratory tract, auditory and vestibular analyzers are considered. On the basis of this material classical methods of research of each LOP-organ are stated. In the second part, diseases of the nose and the paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx, and ear are successively described.
