Reliability of the research results and personal contribution of the author

The reliability of the scientific provisions and conclusions formulated in the thesis is ensured by the use of a set of mutually complementary diagnostic methods that are adequate to the purpose and objectives of the study, the use of extensive factual material and its many-sided analysis, the representativeness of the sample of the examined, careful quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as the correct application of private methods of empirical research and modern methods of statistical processing of the obtained data.

The empirical material of the dissertation is based on a large sample that includes the results of the survey (questionnaires, survey, psychological testing) of 1496 adolescents. Of these, 359 adolescents with a normative type of behavior and 1137 adolescents with delinquent behavior.

The work contains materials of the author’s own research conducted in 2002-2010. During this period, the author has analyzed extensive psychological literature, systematized the views of domestic and foreign authors on the acmeological and psychological problems of adolescents with delinquent behavior. Theoretical analysis made it possible to formulate the goals, objectives and hypotheses of empirical research.

An independent empirical study was conducted to verify the proposed provisions, the basis of which was the results of the survey (surveys, questionnaires, psychological testing) of adolescents with delinquent behavior. The obtained empirical data allowed us to draw original conclusions.

The experimental materials presented in the dissertation were obtained with the personal participation of the author during a joint work with the staff of the research laboratory of psychological support for adolescents with delinquent behavior on the basis of the specialized enterprise “New Generation”.

The design of the experiment, the collection of primary data, the analysis and generalization of the results are made personally by the author.

The following provisions shall be defended:

1. The psychological and acmeological concept of a comprehensive assessment, prediction, correction, rehabilitation and socialization of adolescents with delinquent behavior is considered as a specially organized process, during and as a result of which they develop normative behavior.

Within the framework of this concept, the rehabilitation potential of socialization is considered as a psychodynamic psychological and acmeological formation and an operational mental state that has a multicomponent structure, which can be determined using multidimensional psychodiagnostic technologies, which include psychological and acmeological qualimetry of expression levels, as well as symptomatic complexes of personal qualities of adolescents with delinquent behavior.

3. The program of psychological and acmeological support for the socialization of adolescents with delinquent behavior involves the creation of appropriate psychological and social conditions based on the organization of socially acceptable activities in a homogeneous teenage team, taking into account a set of factors: social (family composition, living conditions, the ability to do useful work); individual psychological (character, motivation, value orientations); socio-psychological (interpersonal relationships and conflict behavior).

4. The diagnostic complex based on analysis of variance allows us to clarify the contribution of psychological and social characteristics to the formation of the normative type of behavior in adolescents with delinquent behavior in the process of their psychological and acmeological support.

5. The multidimensional mathematical-statistical (regression) assessment of the delinquent orientation of adolescents allows us to determine with high accuracy and reliability the significance and involvement (contribution) of the integral indicator of mental health, the state of the emotional-volitional sphere, mental status and socio-psychological adaptation to the success of development and rehabilitation processes adolescents with delinquent behavior working in the conditions of the specialized enterprise “New Generation”.

6. The program of comprehensive-targeted psychological-acmeological work, the structural-functional model and the preventive work technology of forming normative behavior in delinquent adolescents is effective if there is a set of legitimate methods for implementing and assessing changes in the situation of a teenager in the process of working in a specialized enterprise and taking into account the complex of social and psychological characteristics.
