Contact helminthiases

Enterobiosis - helminthiasis caused by pinworms. Distributed everywhere. In terms of frequency of occurrence, it ranks first among helminthiases in children of preschool and primary school age in organized groups. Pinworms are round worms about 1 cm long, parasitizing in the lower part of the small and initial sections of the human large intestine. After fertilization, the males die, and the females at night, when the sphincters of the anus are relaxed, actively creep out, causing itching of the perineum, and lay eggs (from 10 to 15 thousand each). The laid eggs mature within 4-6 hours and become invasive. Patients comb itchy places and eggs fall on their hands under the nails, which become invasive in the morning and can easily be brought into the mouth and scattered around the surrounding objects. In the intestines, larvae emerge from the eggs, which after 2 weeks reach puberty. Pinworms last about a month. A person can become infected with enterobiasis directly from a sick person, through underwear, contaminated foods, etc.

With parasitization in the intestines of a large number of pinworms, the disease proceeds in a severe form. Most often, patients complain of itching of the perineum, poor health, poor sleep, irritability, nervous disorders, nausea, vomiting, rumbling in the abdomen, loose stools with mucus.

Examine all individuals surrounding the patient. At the food trade and public catering enterprises, such a survey is necessary. Persons infected with pinworms are suspended from work until they are completely cured and sent for outpatient treatment.
After treatment, observation is carried out for 1.5 months. The result is evaluated by a 3-fold negative analysis after 2-3 days. Disinfection is mandatory - wet cleaning, boiling, ironing with a hot iron.

Hymenolepidosis - contact helminthiosis, the causative agent of which is the tapeworm - dwarf tapeworm (length from 1 to 5 cm). It has a head with suction cups, a movable proboscis, hooks and many segments. The life span of the parasite is 1-2 months. The source of infection is a person in whose small intestine he parasitizes and secretes eggs containing an invasive larva. Infection occurs through dirty hands, food, surrounding objects. The disease is found everywhere, but more often in areas with a hot and dry climate.

Dwarf tapeworm attaches to the intestinal mucosa and necrosis forms at the attachment site with ulceration. Helminth waste products cause allergies. Symptoms of the disease - abdominal pain, malaise, headaches, allergic conditions, asthmatic bronchitis, rhinitis, low-grade fever, anemia. Asymptomatic carriage is often noted. The study is double, after 2-3 days. Outpatient treatment. At the enterprises of food trade and public catering, people infected with dwarf tapeworm are suspended from work until they are completely cured. The control analysis of feces after treatment is carried out 8-10 times, observation - at least 6 months.

Contact helminthiases

  1. Contact dermatitis
Contact dermatitis can be due to both immune and non-immune mechanisms. In the first case, they talk about allergic contact dermatitis, in the second - about simple contact dermatitis. The prevalence of contact dermatitis in the United States in 1972-1974 amounted to 13.2 per 1000 people. Contact dermatitis accounts for 10% of all skin diseases and more than 90% of occupational skin diseases.
  2. Simple contact dermatitis
Erythema or phonerithema may appear - bouleous and pustular elements. Treatment depends on the stage: erythema - zinc paste with 5% naphthalan; bullous elements - lotions. In case of redundant forms, temporary disability is 8-10 days, with common forms - 2-3 weeks. Ulcerations. Reasons: exposure to acids, alkalis, salts of Cr, Cu, nirates, nitrites. On the background of erythema sores with
  3. Contact allergic eczema
Cause Violation of the normal immune response of the body in contact with an allergen (type IV allergic reaction). Most often, allergens are: - metals (cobalt, nickel, chromium); - Compositae plants (chrysanthemums, chamomile (arnica), plantain); - cosmetical tools; - medicines; - fabric dyes; - fashion jewelry made of nickel-containing jewelry alloys; - fittings
  4. Helminthiasis
Echinococcosis. Zoonotic natural-anthropurgic helminthiases, manifested in humans in two clinical forms - single-chamber (E. Granulosus) and alveolar (multi-chamber) (E. multilocularis). Development takes place with the participation of two hosts - intermediate and final. Reservoir and sources: the final owner of the dog, intermediate with x animals. The transmission mechanism is fecal-oral,
  5. Helminthiasis
Helminthiasis is a group of diseases caused by parasitic worms - helminths. More than 250 types of helminths have been described in humans, of which in Russia representatives of the class of roundworms are most important: causative agents of ascariasis, hookworm infections, trichinosis, enterobiasis; trichocephalosis; class of tapeworms: teniosis, diphyllobothriasis, echinococcosis; class of flukes:
  6. Helminthiases
Helminthiasis is a widespread disease of cats caused by parasitic worms, among which the most common are nematodes or roundworms, trematodes (flat flukes, flukes) and cestodes (tapeworms). Diseases are characterized by a chronic course leading to depletion of the body and a decrease in natural resistance. Some helminths are capable of
  7. HELMINTHOSIS (HELMINTHOSES)
Helminthiasis in dogs is widespread and detrimental to dog breeding. In dogs, several types of helminths can parasitize at the same time. The intensity of invasion (the number of helminths in one dog) can be different - from units to hundreds or more specimens. Helminths of dogs of most species in the mature stage parasitize in the gastrointestinal tract, but some species have adapted to
  8. Metal / Corrosion - Contact Corrosion
{foto56} Contact corrosion: stainless steel / stainless steel {foto57} Contact corrosion: stainless steel / brass Types of surface changes ¦ Small pitting or ring-shaped brown-blue spots with slight corrosion may appear on the contact areas with stainless steel and stainless steel . This form of contact corrosion is often confused with
  9. LECTURE No. 15. Helminthiasis in children. Clinic, diagnosis, treatment, prevention
Helminthiasis - a disease that develops when localized in the body of parasitic helminth worms and their larvae. Classification of helminthiases: 1) on the biological principle: nematodoses (roundworms), cestodoses (tape), trematodoses (flukes); 2) according to the epidemiological: geohelminthoses, biohelminthoses,
  10. Helminthiasis and their prevention
Helminthiasis is a disease caused by parasitic organisms - helminths (worms). In total, about 250 types of helminths are known that can infect (infect) humans. They belong to two types of wildlife: flatworms (Plathelmintes) - include the class of tapeworms (cestodes) and the class of flukes (trematodes); roundworms (Nemathelmintes). The largest helminths are significantly
  11. The effect of OSSV on the spread of helminthiases
The use of wastewater in agriculture in different climatic zones of the CIS and abroad in the sanitary-helminthological aspect is assessed differently. Us [Romanenko N.A. et al., 1985], special surveys were conducted in the conditions of Kaliningrad, Moscow, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Kustanai, Rostov, Kiev, regions, in the Krasnodar Territory and Azerbaijan.
