Psychological support of the education system

The role of psychological support for the education system is currently increasing significantly. This is due to the increasing role of the human factor in modern society, which prompted us to talk about the leading function of education in relation to the reform of Russia, the focus of education on the formation and development of a person with positive values, able to take responsibility for himself and his destiny, ready for an active reconstruction of a society with practical skills in the field of behavior in the labor market, economy and social relations.

The country has developed a multi-level system of psychological assistance in education. The first level is represented by educators, psychologists, social educators (partially performing the functions of psychologists), speech therapists working directly in schools. The second level - teaching rooms and centers in district (regional) departments of education, carrying out methodological work and advising psychologists working in schools. Special centers and services (for example, correctional and vocational orientation centers, medical and psychological consultations, defectology, psychotherapeutic and psychiatric services) that provide specialized assistance and counseling in special cases can be attributed to the same level. The third level is the governing bodies and specialized services of the Ministry of Education, engaged in psychological support of the education system. For scientific support of the psychological system in education, research centers of a federal level (for example, the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Education) or of a regional level (regional scientific and practical centers) have been created or involved.

Psychological support of the education system is carried out in the following areas: diagnostic, correctional and developmental, preventive, developing, consultative, educational, educational. The main goal of this support is the psychological well-being of the participants in the educational process: children, their parents and teachers.

The psychological support of the education system is gradually developing into a single psychological, pedagogical and medical-social correctional-developing service. Diversified specialists (social educators, defectologists, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, speech therapists, etc.) provide assistance to participants in the educational space in almost all types of institutions and at all levels of education.

In many regions, the psychological support system has proved its necessity and relevance by all participants in the educational process: children and their parents, teachers, heads of education management bodies.

In the system of psychological support, there is a network of institutions involved in retraining and advanced training of educational psychologists and other specialists. It includes regional institutes of advanced training, scientific-methodical and educational centers of vocational education. They regularly conduct refresher courses, methodological seminars, workshops, and organize internship sites for managers, social educators, and psychologists.

In many regions, information and methodological services have been created that have databases, methodological selections, and newsletters.
There are servers that provide the work of educational psychologists on the Internet. Conferences and exhibitions and competitions are held to exchange work experience.
